Nicole Dooley Collet: Owner – Teacher
After an apprenticeship of over 600 hours Nicole Dooley Collet was certified in classical pilates at Power Pilates, NYC under the direct tutelage of Bob Liekens and Susan Moran-Perich. Once certified, Power Pilates hired her as an instructor and within a matter of months she was promoted to lead instructor at Power Pilates’ Columbus Circle location. In 2007, Nicole opened The Pilates Boutique in Carroll Gardens. She found a need for a fully equipped classical pilates studio in South Brooklyn. Nicole is equally comfortable working to help rehabilitate injured clients, helping clients during and after pregnancy or simply challenging clients to move beyond their particular fitness plateau.
Nicole has been featured numerous times for her expertise in Pilates Style Magazine, Pilates Pro, and Life and Style Magazine. Nevertheless, she still continues to attend Pilates Master classes and anatomy workshops on a regular basis in order to broaden her connection to and understanding of Joseph Pilates Classical Method. Nicole lives in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn with her husband, son Julien and cats.

Christopher Collet: Owner – Teacher
Chris was introduced to Pilates when his wife Nicole began taking class then training at Power Pilates in Manhattan. By sheer coincidence, Power Pilates was located one floor down in the same building where Chris had his day job. He began taking mat classes during his lunch hour and enjoyed it so much he got certified to teach mat.
Not long after opening The Pilates Boutique with his wife, Nicole, Chris got downsized and Pilates became his full time gig. He completed his full certification through Power Pilates in September 2009.
Kara Kaplan: Teacher
After completing more than 600 apprentice hours Kara Kaplan is a certified Pilates Teacher with Power Pilates in NYC and its affiliate studio Beacon Pilates, in Beacon, NY. Kara brings to her teaching a long movement based history. A dancer since the age of 13, Kara was first exposed to the Pilates Method in college as part of her training. She quickly saw her dancing improve as a direct result of the strength, stability, and increased range of motion achieved through a regular Pilates practice.
In 2002, she completed a 200 hour yoga certification with the White Lotus Yoga Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. Kara continues to study dance, yoga and pilates, as well as attend on-going workshops, trainings and master classes. With an eye for alignment and technique she meets the individual needs of each client while providing fun and challenging sessions.
Suzanne Sulin: Teacher
Suzanne Sulin found Pilates while living in Chicago working in the fashion industry. When she moved to NY, she knew she wanted to leave fashion and have a more rewarding career. She received her certification through Power Pilates and has been happily teaching ever since.
Suzanne brings her enthusiasm and Midwest charm to each session, giving her clients a thorough and enjoyable workout.
Al Schwarz: Teacher
Al was introduced to Pilates by an enlightened doctor over nine years ago, as a way to help relieve his persistent neck and back pain. After several lessons, Pilates not only helped his back and neck pain, it also helped his posture and overall health as well. After regular lessons for five years Al decided he wanted to share the benefits of Pilates with others.
He started the teacher training program at Power Pilates in New York City, finishing the program in September of 2009. Al continues to take regular Pilates classes in New York City and teaches several shifts here at the Pilates Boutique.
